We drive to Babbacombe with comfort breaks en-route arriving in time for dinner and our 7-night stay.
Our excursion today takes us along the famous Devon coastline to Brixham. Primarily a fishing port Brixham has a long and rich maritime history. Set in the lee of Berry Head, it is famous for its Napoleonic connections, lighthouse and magnificent limestone cliffs.
A day at leisure in Babbacombe
Today we drive to Exmouth where we embark on a 60 minute Exe river cruise. Sit back and relax whilst our skipper gives a live commentary on the history of the area, the beautiful sites and the resident and visiting wildlife. Our cruise also includes tea and cake. We disembark at Topsham, a quaint historic port with elegant 17th century Dutch-style merchant houses. We return to Exmouth via the First Great Western 'Avocet Line' railway (Diesel Rail Car), where our coach will be waiting to return us to the hotel
Purple heather clad moorland, wide open landscapes, rushing rivers and obscure stone tors shape the landscape of Dartmoor. Picture postcard Dartmoor is a land of folklore, myths and legends. We visit Princetown, the highest village on Dartmoor, set in an expanse of high open moorland and Widecombe-in-the-Moor, set in beautiful Widecombe Valley
A day at leisure in Babbacombe
Today's excursion takes us to Totnes, a unique and charming market town for free time before continuing to the historical town of Dartmouth.
Departing after breakfast we leave Babbacombe, returning home during the afternoon.
