Sun 24 Sept 2017: With its extraordinary location, Carlyon Bay is a truly special hotel. Stunning views are to be had all year round, especially from the Bay View Restaurant.
Little more than a small cluster of houses around a fine church for much of its history, St Austell was utterly transformed by the discovery in the mid-eighteenth century, by the chemist Williarn Cookworthy, of huge reserves of china clay to the north and west of the village. St. Austell's population and prosperity soon began to grow into the bustling market it is today. Whatever your reasons for visiting, Cornish hospitality will capture your heart and leave you wanting to return time after time.
During your stay at Carlyon Bay, you can enjoy free use of the hotels stunning spa or relax in the lounge.

Later we continue to picture postcard fishing village of Mevagissey where pubs, cafes, galleries and shops cluster around the harbour walls and line the pretty streets. We return to our hotel for a sumptuous Cornish cream tea!
Looe, a delightful fishing town, is actually made up of East and West Looe, which face each other across the river. Relax and watch the world go by, explore its many gift shops or enjoy a local boat cruise. Later, we head to the unspoilt harbour of Polperro, a true slice of Cornish beauty, where you can visit the art and craft galleries and its very own Heritage Museum of Smuggling
Today we visit Falmouth. Standing at the head of Carrick Roads, overlooked by the impressive Pendennis Castle, Falmouth is a delight to explore with cobbled alleys, ancient inns, excellent shops and galleries.
