We drive to Liverpool, a city famous for its two Cathedrals; Liverpool's excellent shopping now includes the newly opened Liverpool One retail complex which is conveniently situated in the very heart of the city centre whilst the historic waterfront is a unique feature which offers five world class attractions - The Albert Dock, Southport Famous Mersey Ferries, The Tate Gallery Liverpool, The Beatles Story and the Merseyside Maritime Museum. Tonight, we enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the Mercure Atlantic Tower Hotel.

Monday

After breakfast we follow the Sefton Coastline to the charming Victorian resort of Southport. Renowned for its beautiful coastline, lovely parks and gardens, the marine lake, golden sands and Britain's second longest pier. Tree-lined Lord Street with its Victorian Arcades is one of the country's finest shopping boulevards, flanked by shops on one side and gardens and fountains on the other, which form the heart of this unspoiled, traditional seaside town. Departing Southport mid-afternoon, we arrive home during the evening.
