We travel south, making a suitable lunch stop en-route and arriving at our hotel during the afternoon. Relax, settle in and enjoy a drinks reception before our first delicious evening meal.
After breakfast we drive to St Erth where we board the local train for the short journey to St Ives. Here we discover one of Cornwall's best loved resorts with its cobbled streets, winding alleyways, historic harbour and quaint fisherman's cottages. A mecca for artists for many years, the town is home to the Tate Gallery St. Ives.
We drive to the Lizard, Britain's most southerly village. During summer, clamouring colonies of kittiwakes and guillemots inhabit the cliffs and the turf is carpeted with fragrant flowers. We return via the pretty market town of Helston to the historic fishing port of Portleven with its picturebook location and stunning coastal scenery. We return to our hotel in the afternoon for a cream tea.
Today's full day excursion takes us to the maritime town and resort of Falmouth, guarded by the impressive Pendennis Castle Headland. The rich seafaring heritage can be explored in the National Maritime Museum which is well worth a visit
After breakfast we depart our hotel and after making a suitable stop for lunch en-route we arrive home in the afternoon.
