We journey across the moors to the Danby Moors Centre. Set in an idyllic spot on the banks of the River Esk where we are treated to tea/coffee & scones. We continue over Blakey Ridge to Hutton-le-Hole where we visit the Ryedale Folk Museum. Next we enjoy a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway from Pickering to Grosmont.
We head to Saltburn-by-the-Sea. We take the Cliff Lift to the shore and enjoy a gentle stroll along the historic pier. We continue along the coastal route to maritime Whitby, where we have free time to wander the little alleyways and narrow streets.
We visit Preston Park & Hall Museum to discover a delightful collection of memorabilia from times gone by. We join the 'Teesside Princess' for a gentle cruise along the River Tees to the cobbled town of Yarm, famous for its riverside location and awe inspiring railway viaduct.
After breakfast we commence our journey homeward. After a suitable stop for lunch en-route we arrive home in the late afternoon.
