These holidays include a resort hotel in a great location and lunches on the outward and return journeys. Though not specifically aimed at those with mobility issues, the itineraries are certainly more relaxed and will involve less walking, but still include great sightseeing excursions where you can “Enjoy the views and treasure the memories!”

Day 1

A leisurely journey to Sidmouth, stopping for an included lunch en-route.

Day 2

Free to relax and settle in. Perhaps take a gentle stroll, explore our lovely resort a little and enjoy the lovely views.

Day 3

We drive to Buckfast Abbey, a haven of peace, where we have time for lunch and a look around the gardens and the shop. From here we make the short journey to Buckfastleigh where we join the South Devon Railway, following the beautiful Dart Valley, for a return trip to Totnes.

Day 4

A day at leisure in Sidmouth

Day 5

Today we venture to the Honiton Lace Museum where we have a short introductory talk followed by time to browse the museum at leisure. Free time for lunch before moving on to Bovey Tracey, where set on the edge of Dartmoor, located in the old Bovey Potteries site we discover the House of Marbles & Teign Valley Glass. The Marble Museum has a variety of exhibitions including an antique marble making machine and a collection of toys & games dating back to 3rd century BC. Also watch the glass blowers at work as they produce huge Victorian replica marbles.

Day 6

A morning visit to Otterton Mill - a historic working watermill where we can experience the traditions of flour milling and bread making. In the afternoon, we continue to Bicton Park Botanical Gardens. Set in Devon's Otter Valley, the grade I-listed gardens are the product of almost 300 years of horticultural history where the curved design of the 1820s Palm House greenhouse is a must-see feature.

Day 7

A day for rest and relaxation; perhaps browse some of the interesting shops.

Day 8

We return home to the Midlands, making a stop en-route for our included lunch.
