To Scotland passing Stirling and its mighty castle and into Perthshire "the Big Tree County" - renowned for its magnificent scenery, where we arrive at our hotel in Blairgowrie during the late afternoon.
This morning we visit Dunkeld with its Cathedral ruins, the last resting place of one of the evillest characters in Scottish history - Alexander Stewart or the Wolf of Badenoch! We continue through Strath Braan and Glen Almond to Crieff where we visit the Glenturret, (Famous Grouse), Distillery, to take the Experience Tour to see first-hand how they make the Glenturret single malt using traditional methods whilst sampling a wee couple of drams.
We drive to Glamis Castle & Gardens - the childhood home of the Queen Mother. Tonight, after dinner, we include entry to the award winning 'The Enchanted Forest' - Located close to Pitlochry, we experience a sound and light show allowing you the unique opportunity to experience the outdoors at night with spectacular imagery.
Heading in to the Grampian Mountains, over Britain's highest main road, the Spittle of Glenshee, we reach Royal Deeside. Free time in Braemar, home of the Royal Highland Gatherings before we drive up the Valley of the Dee passing Balmoral Castle to the Royal church of Crathie and the town of Ballater, where it would appear that every shop is by "Royal Appointment".
Homeward bound, arriving back during the evening.

This traditionally styled hotel is located in the centre of the town. Facilities include restaurant, bar, lounge and leisure club with spa bath, steam room, sauna and heated indoor pool.
