Your Holiday Includes
5 nights half board
Devon Cream tea
After breakfast we enjoy a guided tour on board our coach, taking in the various locations with connections to Agatha Christie who spent much of her life in the area. In the afternoon we are free to enjoy Torquay and its many attractions. Enjoy a delicious Devon cream tea upon our return.
We visit beautiful Buckfast Abbey, home to a community of Benedictine monks. There is time to explore and enjoy this inspirational place before we continue to nearby Buckfastleigh. We board a steam hauled train for a return journey on the South Devon Steam Railway which hugs the beautiful River Dart on its journey to Totnes
Purple, heather clad moorland, wide open landscapes, rushing rivers and obscure stone tors shape the landscape of Dartmoor. Picture postcard Dartmoor villages with thatched cottages and rambling lanes appearing around every corner, this is a land of folklore, myths and legends.
We visit Princetown, the highest village on Dartmoor, set in an expanse of high open moorland and Widecombe-in-the-Moor, set in the beautiful Widecombe Valley.
Our excursion today takes us to Dartmouth, a beautiful and well-preserved old port. As an area of outstanding natural beauty in South Devon, Dartmouth is truly beautiful and the River Dart provides many photographic delights, as does the town itself. In the afternoon we cross to Brixham, the primary fishing port within Torbay before returning to our hotel.
