Thursday

We fly to Malaga and transfer to Mijas, a lovely town nestling in the foothills of the Sierra de Mijas Mountains. We'll get to know one another better over a welcome drink.

Friday

We are introduced to the highlights of Mijas before heading further afield to Malaga, a cosmopolitan city, set on the shores of the 'Med'. Famed as the birthplace of Picasso, it is enveloped by 3000 years of history.

Saturday

Admire magnificent scenery as we drive to the lovely cliff-top town of Ronda. The town is divided by El Tajo, a precipitous gorge. On one side stands the old Moorish town of La Ciudad, with the more modern El Mercaillio on the other. El Tajo is spanned by the 18th century Puente Nuevo Bridge and we'll take in the fabulous views from here.

Sunday

A day at leisure or join us on an Optional Excursion to the stunning 13th century Alhambra Palace.

Monday

The beautiful hilltop village of Frigiliana is situated in the foothills of the Almijara Mountains and is a maze of cobbled streets with a distinct Moorish appearance. Next, we continue to Nerja, with its lovely sandy beaches and hidden coves, where the old quarter remains virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, lined with whitewashed houses and wrought-iron terraces overflowing with aromatic geraniums.

Tuesday

Explore at your own pace today or travel further afield on an optional excursion to Gibraltar.

Wednesday

Relax and soak up the sun at your hotel or wander into Mijas to sample the local cafes and bars. This evening we'll gather for a farewell drink, the perfect end to an amazing holiday.

2nd Thursday

We'll fly back to the UK today.
