Friday

We head to the south east, making a stop for lunch en-route.

Saturday

Today we visit Chatham Historic Dockyard, formerly an important naval dockyard. Here we turn back the clock to the forties as we visit their 'Salute to the 40's' weekend. Step back in time for a day of nostalgia and life on the home front. There will be wartime vehicles, period fashion and an exciting programme of wartime entertainment with humour, music and dance. Around every corner you'll encounter bombsite urchins, 'spivs', soldiers, coppers and Dockyard Maties. Themed street scenes and even more indoor and outdoor live entertainment for you to enjoy!

Sunday

This morning we make the short transfer to the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, where we board our narrow-gauge steam train for a 13-mile journey across the picturesque Romney Marsh to Dungeness, one of the largest expanses of shingle in the world, a place of beauty and a designated National Nature Reserve. We rejoin the coach and continue to the pretty Cinque Port of Rye. The town has enchanting cobbled streets, the medieval St. Mary's church and the fascinating Ypres Tower which houses Rye Museum.

Monday

Today we visit the Leeds Castle Flower Festival. Claimed to be 'the most romantic castle in the world', there is plenty to see and do. During the flower festival this magnificent castle is adorned with spectacular floral displays. See the castle's state rooms transformed into complete works of art using flowers by local florists, flower societies and clubs. Stroll around the beautiful grounds including the Woods Gardens, The Culpeper Gardens, and of course, The Lady Baillie Garden which is on the site of Lady Baillie's original aviary and is a favourite destination for visitors to the Castle.

Tuesday

We end our tour with a leisurely journey home to the Midlands, making a stop for lunch en-route.
