We drive south west, pausing for a suitable stop for lunch en-route, arriving at our hotel for our 4-night stay.
Tuesday
Our day commences with a visit to the ancient market town of Cardigan on the River Teifi estuary. Our first port of call is Cardigan Castle, with time to explore the castle remains and stunning Grade II listed gardens full of rare plant species. The castle plays host to a range of permanent and temporary exhibitions to enjoy. We continue via Cenarth Falls, where in season, salmon leap and the Coracle fishermen ply their trade to Llanerchaeron (NT), a small 18th century Welsh gentry estate, set in the beautiful Dyffryn Aeron. The villa was designed and built by John Nash in 1794-96 and is the most complete example of his early work. Llanerchaeron was a self-sufficient estate - evident in the dairy, laundry, brewery and salting house of the service courtyard, as well as the Home Farm buildings from the stables to the threshing barns. Today it is a working farm with two restored walled gardens which produce fruit and vegetables which are sold in the estates shop.
Wednesday
A gentle drive through Aberporth before we head towards Aberystwyth. A lively town, with an independent spirit and bags of atmosphere. Here, we join the magnificent Vale of Rheidol Railway - the finest way to explore the stunning Rheidol Valley. A blast of the whistle and the hiss of steam and you are away! Sit back, relax and let us take you on a nostalgic journey through some of Wales's most spectacular scenery to Devil's Bridge.
Thursday
Southern Pembrokeshire is home to miles of beautiful beaches and bays where one enjoys sea air. Today, we visit Tenby with its colourful cottages and narrow cobbled streets where you have free time to explore.
