Day 1

We transfer to Land’s End Airport for our short 20-minute flight to St Mary’s on the beautiful Isles of Scilly. Upon arrival we continue to our hotel for our five-night stay

Day 2 - 5

At leisure in St Mary’s. During our stay we include 3 excursions which will enable you to uncover the unique character and beauty of this archipelago.

Included Excursions

Walking tour of St Mary’s – A full-day guided walking tour of St Mary’s, taking in Hugh Town, Harry’s Wall, Lower Moors and the Old Town. For the more active walker we also include visits to Peninnis Head and Buzza Hill.
Tresco – A crossing to the second largest island, Tresco, for a visit to the world famous Tresco Abbey Gardens. Established in the ruins of a Benedictine priory, they contain plants found nowhere else in Britain.
St Martin’s or St Agnes – A full day trip to the island of St Martin’s with its beautiful beaches and scenery OR St Agnes, which is only a mile wide. You then continue to the outer isles to view colonies of wild seals and birdlife.
(The exact island chosen and the actual days on which the excursions will operate will be down to the discretion of the hotel and is weather and tidal dependent).

Day 6

We return to the mainland where our coach will be waiting to whisk you homeward.

4* The Star Castle Hotel

This Grade I listed, family run hotel, is located on the Garrison a short walk from the centre of St Mary’s and the harbour, commanding breathtaking views of the stunning archipelago. With 38 bedrooms, the hotel boasts traditional 16th century castle accommodation within 3 acres of secluded gardens. Facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, conservatory and 2 award-winning restaurants. There is also a lounge for teas, coffees and cream teas.

Mobility Grade: 2 – It is a steep walk to the castle. There are nine steps to the main entrance and many unavoidable steps throughout the hotel and grounds. There are many bedrooms on the ground, however we do not recommend this hotel for those with impaired or reduced mobility.

Please note that mini coaches are used for island transfers and that our excursions to Tresco and St Martins or St Agnes involve transportation by boat. Therefore, due to the nature of this holiday, customers with mobility difficulties may be limited in their enjoyment.

Also please remember that all air and sea journeys are weather permitting and that the itinerary may have to be varied for weather and tidal conditions, therefore please be aware that the days on which the excursions will operate may be subject to change.

Please note that transfers to/from Land’s End will be via one of our extra legroom ‘Club Class’ coaches.
