Day 1

Departing Henley we journey south to Kent, arriving at our hotel during the afternoon.

Day 2

Journey on the Kent & East Sussex Railway, passing through the beautiful Wealden scenery. England’s finest rural light railway allows visitors to experience travel from a bygone era, aboard beautifully restored coaches and locomotives dating from the Victorian times. We will have time in picturesque Tenterden, known as the ‘Jewel of the Weald’ before returning to our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 3

This morning we visit Canterbury where we enjoy a guided tour around Canterbury Cathedral. Later, you will get the chance to explore the beautiful streets of medieval Canterbury.

Day 4

Today we travel on the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway. Known as 'Kent’s Mainline in Miniature', the world famous one-third full size steam & diesel locomotives have powered their way along the 13½ miles of track from the Cinque Port town of Hythe to Dungeness. Our day starts at Dungeness station for the first leg on this unique train to New Romney, where you have an hour to grab a cuppa and a snack, then back on the train to Hythe where the coach will then take you into Hythe Town for an hour or so.

Day 5

Departing our hotel after breakfast we commence our journey homewards.
