Sunday

A morning departure for the south coast and our sailing to the Isle of Wight.

Monday

This morning we see one of the natural wonders of the English coastline when we visit Alum Bay and view the famous Needles. Afterwards, we spend some time in the resort of West Cowes.

Tuesday

A free day to enjoy your surroundings and explore the lovely resort.

Wednesday

Today we include a train ride on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. Hauled by a vintage steam locomotive we enjoy a special journey back in time enjoying the unique views of some of the Island’s unspoilt countryside. In the afternoon, we continue to the seafront town of Ryde.

Thursday

We include a visit to Osborne House (EH) - Queen Victoria’s palatial holiday home on the Isle of Wight. We also visit nearby Whippingham Church, where Victoria and Albert were once regular members of the congregation.

Friday

A day at leisure in Shanklin.

Saturday

A late morning excursion to the picture-postcard setting of Godshill, where we include entrance to the marvellous Model Village - a 1/10 scale model of Godshill and Shanklin Old Town that nestles in the grounds of the Old Vicarage. Free time at leisure in the afternoon.

Sunday Week 2

Homeward bound today, we catch the ferry back to the mainland and onwards to the Midlands.

This elegant Country House, set in mature grounds, was originally built in the late 1860’s, said to be for one of Queen Victoria’s ladies in waiting, and the "house" still retains its sense of history whilst providing comfortable accommodation enhanced by its original Victorian features. Located on an elevated position with exquisite coastal views. Restaurant, leisure complex, swimming pool. No lift. Mobility Grade: 3.
