Between the coastlines of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales in the middle of the Irish Sea lies the delightful Isle of Man, a unique self-governing kingdom with its own parliament. The Island has over 200 square miles of beautiful unspoilt countryside and a coastline with little coves and superb beaches and offers a wealth of attractions including the Victorian railway systems and the famous old horse drawn trams. Enjoy the fabulous scenery around the island with enchanting glens and beaches, medieval castles and beautiful parks and gardens. Our base is the island capital, Douglas, with its delightful promenade, Victorian pier and little specialist shops, set on a crescent on Douglas Bay.

Day 1
We travel north to Heysham to catch our ferry to Douglas.
Day 3
Today, we travel to Laxey Station, where we board a train on the Snaefell Mountain Railway to the top of the island’s highest mountain for spectacular views of the island (weather permitting!). We take the train back to Laxey and pay a visit to the Laxey Wheel & Mines Trail.
Day 4
We follow the course of the famous TT race to Tynwald Hill, the home of the Manx Parliament, which has Nordic origins and is the oldest parliament in the world. We continue to Peel and discover the secrets of The House of Manannan.
Day 5
Our destination today is the village of Cregneash, where we visit the National Folk Museum. We continue to the Sounds Visitor Centre for spectacular views over the Calf of Man before returning to Douglas via Castletown for a free afternoon.
Day 6
We board our ferry to Heysham and continue south homewards to the Midlands.
Our comfortable and elegant hotel is located on the Victorian promenade overlooking Douglas Bay and is just a short walk from the town centre. Restaurant, bar, spa bath, sauna & steam room, gymnasium.
Mobility Grade: 3. Locality is level. Hotel has 18 steps to entrance, but alternative entrance is available. There is a lift to all floors and public areas have ramps.
