Saturday

Departing Henley, we pause in Stow-on-the-Wold, before arriving at our hotel for a welcoming tea/coffee before settling into your room. Enjoy a drinks reception tonight before our 3-course evening dinner followed by ‘in-house’ entertainment.

Sunday

Following breakfast we travel to the National Trust village of Lacock in Wiltshire to visit the medieval abbey, turned family home and the birthplace of photography. The picturesque village and 13th century abbey were given to the National Trust in 1944 by the Talbot family. The 15th century inns and cottages create a traditional backdrop for many period films. (NB: Please be aware that the furnished rooms at the abbey are not open in December, but the Cloisters and gardens remain open. We return via Avebury to the hotel in time for dinner followed by live musical entertainment.

Monday

Open your presents and enjoy a leisurely breakfast. After our traditional Christmas lunch listen to the King’s Speech in the lounge, relaxing with tea and Christmas cake. Evening buffet and a relaxing evening with newfound friends.

Tuesday

Breakfast and a leisurely morning. Following an early light lunch, we take our seats at Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre for the lunchtime performance of Snow White. Farewell 3-course evening dinner followed by in-house entertainment.

Wednesday

Departing after breakfast, we commence our journey homeward.
