Ashore, there’s the chance to see Europe’s deepest lake, Hornindalsvatnet, hike to the thundering Feigefoss Waterfall, or join a scenic drive into Jotunheimen National Park, with its soaring peaks and ancient glaciers. In Ålesund, 418 steps up Mount Aksla bring sweeping views over the Art Nouveau town and surrounding fjords, while Bergen charms with funicular rides, forest trails and its colourful harbour.
