Day One: Arrival

Depart from your Henley in the morning travelling to North Wales and arrive late afternoon at the Royal Victoria Hotel.

Day Two

Our first visit today takes us to the shores of Cardigan Bay and Portmeirion. We visit this unique attraction - the setting for to cult TV series 'The Prisoner'. From here we drive to Betws-y-Coed where we have a break with time for lunch. This afternoon we head for Bala and enjoy a ride on the diminutive Bala Lake Railway, returning later to the hotel.

Day Three

This morning we join the Llanberis Lake Railway for a delightful ride along the lake shore. We have time to explore and obtain lunch in Llanberis. Later take 'A Majestic Mountain Adventure' and have a ride on the Snowdon Mountain Railway. This world famous little train takes you on a breathtaking ride up Mount Snowdon which, at 3560 ft (1085m) the highest mountain in England and Wales. The views are stunning and this is not to be missed. (Snowdon Mountain Railway journey length is subject to change according to timetables & weather)

Day Four

We begin with a ride through the beautiful National Park of Snowdonia to Blaenau Ffestiniog. Here we catch the Ffestiniog Railway for an exhilarating ride across the mountains, descending to the sea at Porthmadog. We have time to explore and have lunch in Porthmadog before catching the Welsh Highland Railway train which takes us through Beddgelert and back to Caernarfon.

Day Five

After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.

The Royal Victoria Hotel

At the foot of Mount Snowdon, the Royal Victoria Hotel is cradled between Lakes Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peries. The Snowdon Mountain Railway is within 100 metres and provides a breath-taking journey up the mountain to the summit.
