Day One: Arrival

Depart your local joining point and travel north with suitable comfort stops en route. Arriving in Harrogate during the afternoon, settle into your hotel before enjoying a welcome drinks reception and dinner with your fellow travellers.

Day Two

Today we have free time to explore Harrogate at your own pace. Browse the boutique shops, stroll through the beautiful Valley Gardens, or indulge in afternoon tea at the famous Bettys Tea Rooms.

Day Three

Today we venture into the spectacular Yorkshire Dales National Park. Enjoy a scenic drive through rolling countryside, traditional villages and dramatic landscapes, with time in the market town of Skipton, known as the "Gateway to the Dales". Explore the bustling high street, browse the market, or relax beside the Leeds and Liverpool Canal before returning to Harrogate.

Day Four

Following breakfast, we travel to the historic city of York. Spend the day exploring at leisure. Wander through the medieval Shambles, visit York Minster, discover the city's rich Viking heritage, or simply enjoy the many cafés and shops. There is plenty to see and do before returning to Harrogate for a farewell dinner with your new friends.

Day Five

After breakfast we bid farewell to Harrogate and begin our journey home. A suitable comfort stop will be made en route before arriving back at home in the late afternoon.

The Old Swan Hotel

The hotel dates back to 1840 but became famous as the hiding place for Agatha Christie during her disappearance in 1926. It was also the location of the film 'Agatha' starring Dustin Hoffman and Vanessa Redgrave in 1977. Rating 4: the locality is fairly level. There are steps to the main entrance but there is an alternative side entrance. There is a lift to all floors and there are a few steps in the corridor leading to some rooms.
