A Gala Screening on the 75th Anniversary

Relive the Royal Air Forces most daring operation of the Second World War, 75 years to the day, with a gala screening of the newly restored classic British film.
Dan Snow will host a commemorative evening paying tribute to Wing Commander Guy Gibson and his comrades of the legendary 617 Squadron. This event will culminate with a screening of The Dam Busters, directed by Michael Anderson and starring Sir Michael Redgrave and Richard Todd, on a huge 40ft screen in stunning 4K definition.

Guests will include family members of the Dam Busters crew, former members of 617 Squadron, renowned historian Paul Beaver, plus a bouncing bomb experiment and music from the world famous Glenn Miller Orchestra. Discover how the iconic raid of 1943 and Barnes Wallis scientific invention helped change the course of the Second World War.
This 75th anniversary event supports the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, the RAFs leading welfare charity.

We drive to Covent Garden where we are free to spend the afternoon browsing the designer shops, the unique art and craft shops and market areas. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars to relax in while you decide what to buy. Or just spend the afternoon watching the street entertainers and enjoying the seasonal atmosphere. After checking in to our hotel we head to the Royal Albert Hall and the highlight of the tour - A gala screening of the Dambusters - hosted by Dan Snow.
After breakfast we drive to the Imperial War Museum - Here we discover the stories of people's experiences of modern war from WW1 to conflicts today (Free Admission). Some temporary exhibits may incur a small charge.
