These lovely Grade 1 listed Cornish Gardens are located in 900 acres of Country Park on the Rame Peninsula. First built in the 1500's it was restored after WW2 and is one of the region's most popular tourist attractions.
After breakfast we make our way to the Dartmoor National Park Visitors Centre at Princetown before returning to explore Buckland Abbey (NT), a 700 year old house noted for its connections with Sir Richard Grenville the Younger and Sir Francis Drake. Finally we visit the nearby Garden House, a delightful 8 acre garden set amidst beautiful South Devon landscape that includes a romantic terraced walled garden surrounded by the ruins of a 16th century vicarage
Today we cross into Cornwall where we visit charming Looe. Actually made up of East and West Looe, which face each other across the river, we can relax and watch the world go by or simply explore its many gift shops.
