Wander the Barbican quaint cobbled quayside or visit the National Marine Aquarium with its deep-water fish tanks. Explore Plymouth Hoe, where Sir Francis Drake famously finished his game of bowls before defeating the Spanish Armada and view the iconic Smeatons Tower lighthouse.

We travel to the South West, pausing for our included lunch on the journey, arriving in Plymouth during the afternoon for our 4-night stay.
Discover Plymouth's stunning coastline views and learn about its history and heritage on board a 1-hour harbour cruise. Departing from The Barbican Landing Stage, adjacent to the Mayflower Steps we sail across Plymouth Sound, flanked by the beautiful Devon and Cornish coasts. Take in spectacular views of Plymouth Hoe and famous Drakes Island, heading for the Royal Naval Dockyard, where the mighty warships and submarines await. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the historic city.
This morning we visit the Grade II listed port of Charlestown, featured in TV's popular drama series 'Poldark'. The harbour was built in the 18th century to support the china clay and copper mining industries. Here we visit the Shipwreck, Rescue and Heritage Centre, telling the story of the port, ships and wrecks along this part of the coast. Later, we continue to Mevagissey with its maze of narrow streets which are all centred around the harbour.
A visit to the beautiful Mount Edgcumbe House, the former home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe. Set in Grade I Cornish Gardens within 865 acres of Country Park on the Rame Peninsula, South East Cornwall.
We commence our homeward journey. With lunch included, we arrive home during the late afternoon.

Situated in the heart of the city with sweeping views down Armada Way and a short walk away from the Barbican and iconic Mayflower steps, the hotel is hard to beat in terms of location and convenience.
