Sunday

Take the ferry to Arran - "Scotland in Miniature", with free time in Brodick pausing at Highland Aromatics and Arran Cheese Shop (Located next door to each other). Then, taking the coastal route we catch the late afternoon sailing to Kintyre and continue to the Grey Gull Hotel for our 2-night stay.

Monday

Board the early morning sailing at Kennercraig (breakfast included) to the Isle of Islay. Our visit includes Bowmore, the islands capital, Tour & tasting at a distillery and a visit to the 'Big Strand' on Laggan Bay with 6 miles of unspoilt sandy beaches.

Tuesday

Travelling through majestic Highland countryside we travel via Inveraray and Loch Awe to Oban. Next, we follow the shoreline of lovely Loch Linnhe to Fort William for a short stop. Then we drive along the spectacular "Road to the Isles" stopping at the Glenfinnan Monument before boarding the ferry to Skye and the Dunollie Hotel, our base for the next two nights.

Wednesday

Skye has a wealth of history from Jacobite battles to feuding clans. The island is abundant in wildlife and the scenery ever-changing from the patchwork of velvet moors to jagged mountains and towering sea cliffs. Our tour takes in much of the island and visits Portree and Dunvegan Castle - home to the MacLeod Clan for over 800 years.

Thursday

We cross the Skye Bridge, pausing at the imposing Eilean Donan Castle - the second most photographed Castle in Scotland! We continue through Loch Shiel, swamped by the Five Sisters Mountains, to Fort William. Continue through Glencoe and the 'bonnie, bonnie' banks of Loch Lomond to our Perthshire hotel for our final night.

Friday

After breakfast we commence our journey south. After a stop for lunch we arrive home in the evening.
