Friday

We journey north arriving at our hotel in time for dinner.

Saturday

Start the day with a scenic drive along the 'bonnie bonnie banks' of Loch Lomond to the picturesque Highland Village of Luss, where we enjoy a leisurely cruise on the loch to savour the awe-inspiring views. Our day continues through the 'Arrochar Alps', past the 'Cobbler' mountain to the spectacular 'Rest & Be Thankful' viewpoint. Shortly, lovely Loch Fyne comes in to view and we follow its shores to the white-walled town of Inveraray which overlooks Loch Shira.

Sunday

Today we visit 'Auld Reekie', an affectionate local name for the beautiful city of Edinburgh. We visit the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Scotland's famous royal residence, which dates to late 15th century, followed by some free time at leisure in Scotland's first city.

Monday

Today we visit Stirling Castle - the key to the kingdom of Scotland, which dominates a vast volcanic rock above the river Forth at the meeting point between Lowlands and Highlands. Its origins are ancient and over the centuries it grew into a great royal residence and a powerful stronghold.

Tuesday

After breakfast its sadly homeward bound
