Discover the very best of Cornwall’s spectacular coast on this relaxing escorted break based in Newquay. From our hotel overlooking world-famous Fistral Beach, enjoy a scenic rail journey along the St Ives Bay Line, time to explore charming St Ives, and visits to Truro and the wonderful Lost Gardens of Heligan. We also include a day in Padstow, with entry to The National Lobster Hatchery and a guided tour of historic Prideaux Place. On the 6-day departure, there is more coastal charm to enjoy with visits to picturesque Polperro and Looe.

Day One: Arrival

We journey south, with a lunch stop on the way, arriving at our hotel in Newquay in time for dinner.

Day Two

This morning we drive to St Erth to board our regular train for a journey along the beautiful coastline past Carbis Bay to the very heart of St Ives. We have time here to explore this famous resort before returning to our hotel in the late afternoon by coach.

Day Three

This morning, we make our way to the market town city of Truro, where we can enjoy a stroll before exploring the town's attractions, including the stunning Gothic Revival Cathedral. After lunch, we travel to the Lost Gardens of Heligan, amazingly discovered in 1991 under a blanket of brambles after 70 years of neglect. Many of the original plants have been rescued.

Day Four

After breakfast, we visit the attractive fishing port of Padstow, with free time to explore its harbour, shops and famous foodie scene. Included is entry to The National Lobster Hatchery, where you can discover fascinating marine conservation work. This afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of Prideaux Place, a magnificent Elizabethan manor house, followed by time to explore its beautiful gardens and enjoy stunning harbour views.

Day Five

We travel to Polperro where we discover its enchanting jumble of cottages and quintessential harbour where there is time for lunch. Later we move on to Looe where we have the remainder of the afternoon to explore.

Day Six

After breakfast, we return home.

Situated on the world famous Fistral Beach, the hotel benefits from astounding Atlantic Ocean views which are enjoyed from the restaurant, lounge area and many of the bedrooms.
