After crossing from Dover to Calais, settle into your hotel before enjoying a full free day in beautiful Bruges, with its canals, cobbled lanes, historic squares and inviting cafés. We also include a full day in Ghent, where medieval architecture, riverside views and lively streets create a wonderfully atmospheric day out.

Day One: Arrival

We travel to Dover for our crossing to Calais, then continue to Bruges and our hotel.

Day Two

Enjoy a full free day in Bruges, one of Belgium's most picturesque cities. Wander beside peaceful canals, browse the shops around Market Square, admire the medieval architecture or relax in a café and watch the world go by. Our courier will be happy to suggest places to eat in the area.

Day Three

Today we enjoy a full day in Ghent, a characterful Belgian city filled with canals, historic guild houses, impressive churches and lively squares. There will be time to explore at leisure, perhaps strolling along the riverside, visiting the old centre, browsing local shops or pausing for coffee in one of its welcoming cafés.

Day Four

After breakfast, we leave Bruges and travel back to Calais for our return crossing to Dover.

Hotel Velotel

At the border of the historical centre of Bruges, the hotel offers a peaceful retreat from the cosmopolitan centre. Enjoy a short walk to the "protected by UNESCO" city centre, get surprised by the architectural and artistic treasures and many other major attractions including Historium and the Belgian beer breweries ‘ Halve maan’.
