Kent, the Garden of England is one of the best UK destinations for a holiday. Whether you are looking for beautiful beaches, stunning architecture or delicious food and drink – Kent has it all! On our break we also go behind the scenes of the hugely popular TV series ‘Call the Midwife’ for a unique guided tour around Chatham Docks.

Thursday

Depart Henley and travel to Kent, arriving at the Bridgewood Manor Hotel during the afternoon for our four night stay.

Friday

This morning we visit Royal Tunbridge Wells, followed by an afternoon at the famous Sissinghurst Castle Garden. We enjoy scenic drives through Kent villages including Pluckley, known for The Darling Buds of May.

Saturday

Explore the Kent coast with visits to Margate and Ramsgate, including a guided tour of the historic Ramsgate Tunnels. We continue to the charming seaside town of Deal for free time.

Sunday

After breakfast, we visit historic Rochester, with its Dickens connections and cathedral, before heading to the Historic Dockyard Chatham. Enjoy the Call the Midwife tour and free time to explore.

Monday

Depart the hotel and visit Hever Castle and gardens before returning home late afternoon.
