Day One: Arrival

Departing from Henley, we travel to Chester and check-in to our hotel for 4 nights.

Day Two

Today we travel to the seaside resort of Llandudno - a very popular destination! Don't miss the chance to take a tram ride up to the top of the Great Orme where the views over the bay are tremendous. You may fancy a wander around the shops. The main street runs parallel to the promenade. Or maybe just relax on the promenade and watch the world go by.

Day Three

We have a leisurely breakfast this morning before we enjoy free time at leisure in Chester. This historic city offers lots to see and do. Explore the unique 'Rows' of two-tiered shops or take a stroll around the City Walls. Meander down to the River Dee and maybe enjoy lunch in a riverside pub. Later, we enjoy a sightseeing boat cruise with commentary about the local area and its history.

Day Four

This morning we make our way to Port Sunlight where we enjoy a guided tour of Port Sunlight Village. Built by William Hesketh Lever for his factory workers and named after his famous Sunlight soap this is a superb example of how life used to be. We return to the hotel in the afternoon for a Cream Tea - including tea/coffee, two scones, clotted cream butter and jam.

Day Five

After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.

This stately Victorian hotel is located just a short distance from Chester city centre. Marvel at the vaulted ceilings, sweeping staircases, and regal public rooms once frequented by the likes of Charles Dickens and Lillie Langtry.
