Christmas in Cambridge

Tuesday

Arrival after 3pm you will be
greeted to tea, coffee and mince pies.
3-course choice evening dinner
followed by a relaxing evening.

Wednesday

After breakfast we make our
way to Peterborough, a city steeped in
history. The cathedral was founded in
654AD and is one of the most significant
medieval abbey’s in the country. After
free time for lunch we take our seats for
the 2.30pm matinee performance of
‘Jack and the Beanstalk‘ at the Key
Theatre. After dinner enjoy the hotel’s
evening entertainment.

Thursday

A hearty breakfast will be
served from 7:30 to 10:30am in The
Bridge Restaurant. Welcome glass of
fizz before feasting on a traditional
3-course Christmas dinner with all the
trimmings in The Bridge Restaurant. In the evening enjoy buffet supper and
some festive-themed fun.

Friday

Enjoy an excursion to the famous
university city of Cambridge where we
enjoy a panoramic guided coach tour
to see the main sights. Later enjoy time
at leisure to explore the historic centre.
A 3-course Dinner will be served in
The Bridge Restaurant at 7.00pm.

Saturday

Departing after breakfast we
visit Barnsdale Gardens. Created by the
late BBC Gardeners’ World presenter,
Geoff Hamilton, it is often referred to
as ‘a theme park for gardeners’, where
the 38 individual garden ‘rooms’ offer
an inspiring range of horticultural styles
and planting schemes, all built on
organic principles. We return home
during the afternoon.
