Tuesday

We journey north arriving at
our hotel during the afternoon.
Mulled Wine and Mince Pies served
in the Drawing Room before settling
into your bedroom. Evening dinner is
followed by a relaxing evening.

Wednesday

After breakfast we drive via
the iconic ‘Angel of the North’ statue to
Newcastle upon Tyne. Here after a little
time to explore this vibrant city with its
stunning Quayside setting, we take our
seats at the Theatre Royal for the
matinee performance of Aladdin.
Evening dinner tonight is followed by
musical entertainment.

Thursday

Merry Christmas! Today,
we celebrate Christmas Day with a
traditional Festive lunch. Listen to the
King’s Speech with tea/coffee and
Christmas cake. Tonight’s dinner is
buffet style followed by a Quiz in the
brasserie.

Friday

Today we travel the short
distance to Beamish, the world-famous
living museum of the North. Tonight’s
3-course evening dinner is followed
by more live musical entertainment.

Saturday

Departing our hotel we visit
the beautiful spa town of Harrogate,
before returning home during the early
evening.

Boasting an idyllic position on the edge of the North Pennines, Slaley Hall is a beautiful hotel steeped in history and surrounded by 1000 acres of woodland. A former hunting lodge turned hotel, spa and golf resort, the sprawling estate dates back to Edwardian times. All bedrooms are en-suite with television, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Additional facilities include a bar and restaurant. Leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gym. Lift to all floors with steps to some bedrooms.
