Cromford Mill, Matlock with Lunch
Cromford Mills is the Northern Gateway to the Derwent Valley Mills UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in 1771 by Sir Richard Arkwright, it is the world's first successful water-powered cotton spinning mill and a cornerstone of the Industrial Revolution. We will also partake in the award-winning Arkwright Experience, meet the man himself and learn about the full story from humble beginnings to becoming the richest commoner in the country. Your ticket also includes tea/coffee & biscuits on arrival, tour of the mill and experience. We then depart for lunch at a local Hostelry.
