Meet magnificent animals at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, including polar bears, lions, sea lions and tigers, before exploring the grandeur of Wentworth Woodhouse with a guided house and garden tour plus buffet lunch. We also head to Cleethorpes for a nostalgic light railway journey, fish and chips, and time to enjoy the coast, all with friendly company throughout.

Day One: Arrival

We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner

Day Two

Today we make the most of our time with a visit to Yorkshire Wildlife Park. As the UK's number one walkthrough wildlife experience, we're in for a 'roarsome' day out with around 475 animals to meet! Among the 60 different species, highlights include Project Polar, home to the largest collection of polar bears in England; magnificent African Lions in the seven-acre Lion Country; a family of Californian sea lions in the largest purpose-built habitat of its kind in the world; and the 300-metre raised walkway above Land of the Tigers. Other critters to look out for include rhinos, giraffes, red pandas, leopards, monkeys, lemurs, zebras, and many more!

Day Three

Today we have a full day at the magnificent Wentworth Woodhouse & Garden, the grand, Grade I listed Georgian house in a country setting north of Wrexham. It is known to be the largest privately owned home in Europe and boasts a lengthy façade of 606 feet! In the morning, we enjoy a guided house tour to explore the ornate principal State rooms and discover fascinating facts, historical details and anecdotes about the people who lived and worked here over the centuries. For lunch, we will sit down in the Long Gallery for a buffet lunch. This afternoon, we will explore the acres of stunning gardens with a garden tour.

Day Four

Today we hop on a historic miniature railway for a 45 minute return journey which travels along part of the picturesque Humberside Coast with the Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway. The trip includes a delicious lunch of fish and chips plus a visit to the smallest pub on the planet, The Signal Box Inn! We also enjoy some time at leisure to relax in the Victorian seaside resort of Cleethorpes.

Day Five

After breakfast, we make our way home.
