Join us as we head over to the spa town of Great Malvern and its theatre, famous for its George Bernard Shaw productions along with the works of Sir Edward Elgar.

After some free time for a little wander through this elegant Victorian town and some lunch (not included), we’ll invite you to head over to the theatre, where we have arranged for a special talk from the National Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company. Created twenty seven years ago and for over a decade the company has brought favourite G & S operas to Malvern, in productions that have received outstanding reviews from the national press and regular four and five star ratings. After a short break, we will then take our seats for the afternoon matinee showing of “Iolanthe”. Iolanthe is a much-loved operetta blending fantasy and satire. It follows Strephon, a half-mortal shepherd, whose fairy mother, Iolanthe, was banished for marrying a mortal. Fairies clash with bumbling peers of the British Parliament as love, law, and politics intertwine. With its enchanting score and witty libretto, this classic operetta promises an evening of laughter and delight.
