Based at The Diplomat Hotel in Llanelli, we explore the much-loved seaside resort of Tenby, with its pretty harbour, colourful streets and sweeping sands. We also visit the National Botanic Garden of Wales and the Lost Gardens of Aberglasney, before enjoying the outstanding scenery of the Gower Peninsula and The Mumbles, complete with a guided tour and a vintage tea or warming Welsh cawl. Scenic journeys through the Brecon Beacons and Wye Valley complete this memorable Welsh escape.

Day One: Arrival

We travel to Carmarthenshire via the impressive Brecon Beacons, arriving at our hotel in the afternoon for our 4-night stay.

Day Two

Today is a full day to Tenby. Take time to discover the picturesque harbour or relax at one of the three fantastic beaches. For the more adventurous, why not take the 20-minute boat journey to Caldy Island, owned and run by a community of Cistercian monks. (Please note crossing times are subject to weather and are not included in our holiday price).

Day Three

We commence the day at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales. Nestled in the Tywi Valley, you will discover the award-winning Great Glasshouse, home to a profusion of rare, fragrant and exotic plants. We continue to The Lost Gardens of Aberglasney - originally made famous by the BBC television series "A Garden Lost in Time" and are today one of Wales' finest gardens.

Day Four

Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Gower Peninsula and The Mumbles, an area renowned for its sandy beaches. Visit the Gower Heritage Centre in a converted water mill where a guide will join the coach for a tour of the peninsula's highlights before returning for a vintage tea or Welsh Cawl and tour of the mill.

Day Five

We board our coach for our homeward journey, enjoying a scenic drive through the beautiful Wye Valley.
