Discover the charm of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on this relaxing five-day escorted coach holiday. Travelling by ferry from Dover to Calais, we continue through the scenic Ardennes before reaching our base at the Belle Vue Hotel in Vianden. Day One

We depart from our local joining points and travel south-east to Dover for our ferry crossing to Calais. Once in France, we continue through the rolling countryside and forested hills of the Ardennes, enjoying a scenic drive as we make our way towards Luxembourg. We arrive at our hotel in time to settle in before dinner this evening.

Day Two

Today we enjoy an excursion to Grevenmacher, a pleasant town on the banks of the River Moselle, close to the Luxembourg-Germany border. There will be time to explore at leisure, perhaps taking a stroll along the riverside promenade, discovering the town's historic streets or simply relaxing in one of the cafés. The surrounding Moselle Valley is well known for its vineyards and gentle scenery, making this a lovely introduction to the Grand Duchy.

Day Three

This morning we travel to Luxembourg City, the elegant capital of the Grand Duchy. With its dramatic setting above deep river valleys, impressive bridges and beautifully preserved old town, the city offers a fascinating blend of history and modern European character. Enjoy free time to explore the UNESCO-listed old quarters, browse the shops, visit a museum or relax in one of the attractive squares before we return to the hotel.

Day Four

Our included excursion today takes us across the border into Germany to visit Trier, regarded as Germany's oldest city. Founded by the Romans, Trier is home to a remarkable collection of historic sights including the Porta Nigra, the cathedral and attractive market square. There will be time to explore independently, enjoy lunch or browse the shops before we return to Luxembourg for our final evening at the hotel.

Day Five

After breakfast, we bid farewell to Luxembourg and begin our journey home. We travel back through France to Calais for the return ferry crossing to Dover, continuing onward to our local joining points with fond memories of our time in the Grand Duchy.
