Departing our hotel we visit the Irish National Stud at Kildare, home to some of Ireland’s most revered thoroughbreds and the adjacent Japanese Gardens. Later we continue via Adare, Ireland’s ‘prettiest village’, with its delightful thatched cottages before arriving in Killarney for our 4-night stay.
Day 4
Discover the secrets of the Ring of Kerry, as our guided tour takes us via Killorglin; famed for its annual Puck Fair, to Glenbeigh, with its Bog Village. We continue around the Iveragh Peninsula, ascending Peakeen Mountain, around Moll’s Gap and Ladies View before finally descending back into Killarney, along the glittering shores of Lough Leane.

Departing Killarney, we travel to Cobh, where we visit the Queenstown Story. Here, we can retrace the steps of the 2 ½ million Irish people who emigrated from Ireland via Cobh on coffin ships, early steamers and finally on the great ocean liners. In fact Cobh was the last port of call for the ill-fated Titanic. Later, we drive to Waterford for our overnight accommodation at the 3-star Dooley’s Hotel.
