Monday

We drive north through the Scottish Borders arriving at our hotel in time for dinner and our 4-night stay. Tonight, unwind with live musical entertainment.

Tuesday

After a hearty Scottish cooked breakfast, we take a half-day mystery excursion to a local destination of interest. We return to the hotel for a Full Afternoon Tea and to prepare for tonight's New Year festivities.
This evening, celebrate the New Year in style with pre-dinner drinks, before a spectacular New Year's Gala 4-course dinner followed by a live Ceilidh Band and Piper with dancing until the wee small hours.

Wednesday

This morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast followed by a short excursion to the picture-postcard, conservation village of Luss. Located on the western shore of Loch Lomond. Luss has a rich history dating back to medieval times. Head to the end of the pier to enjoy the spectacular view of Ben Lomond or choose from a range of short walking trails which explore the village. Tonight, after dinner enjoy a selection of Board Games.

Thursday

A full Scottish Breakfast starts our day before we depart to the elegant city of Edinburgh. There will be ample time to explore Scotland's historic capital city. Nestled in the heart of Edinburgh's city centre, the Christmas Markets are usually still open over the Hogmanay period and are well worth a visit. After dinner this evening enjoy some live musical entertainment to round off our stay.

Friday

Departing after breakfast we travel home, arriving at our local area during the evening.

Just 5 minutes from Loch Lomond in the conservation village of Drymen. The Buchanan Arms Hotel & Leisure Club offers free Wi-Fi, a whisky bar, stylish rooms and a restaurant, there is also a leisure club. In 2024 the hotel has undergone a major refurbishment with the elegant bedrooms each having a private bathroom with free toiletries. The Salmon Leap Restaurant serves traditional Scottish cuisine using local produce. The leisure club features an indoor swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room.

Mobility Grade: 3. Although there is no lift within the hotel there are 3 double rooms on the ground floor and a further 10 rooms which are down 4 steps so are easily accessible. All rooms have bath with shower.
