Travel through the heart of the Scottish Highlands on unforgettable rail journeys, enjoying dramatic scenery, iconic routes, peaceful lochs, charming towns and comfortable hotel stays, perfectly combining romance, nostalgia and breathtaking landscapes.

Sunday

Travel north to the Scottish Highlands, arriving at the Highlander Hotel in Newtonmore for a five night stay. Tea, coffee and biscuits are served on arrival, with one evening of hotel entertainment included.

Monday

Travel to Inverness to join the famous Kyle Line railway, enjoying one of the world's great scenic journeys to Kyle of Lochalsh. After time at leisure, we return to the hotel by coach.

Tuesday

Travel via Loch Laggan and Glen Spean to Fort William, where we board the celebrated West Highland Line. This spectacular journey crosses the Glenfinnan Viaduct en route to Mallaig. Enjoy free time in the harbour town before returning by train to Fort William and coach back to the hotel.

Wednesday

Journey through beautiful Highland scenery to Fort Augustus for time to explore and lunch. Enjoy a scenic cruise on Loch Ness with commentary before returning to Newtonmore via Inverness.

Thursday

After breakfast, depart and begin the journey home.
