This delightful spring tour to the Ayrshire coast features numerous attractions including the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum where we explore the early life of Scotland’s most famous poet. We visit the Burrell Collection - one of the largest art collections in the world and explore Dumfries House - a fine stately home in the Ayrshire countryside that HRH King Charles III has helped beautifully restore.

Monday

We depart in the morning travelling to Scotland and arrive late afternoon at the Riverside Lodge Hotel, Irvine. 4 nights stay - dinner, bed & breakfast. Tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival.

Tuesday

Today we visit Glasgow, starting at the impressive Riverside Transport Museum. We then travel just outside the city to the Burrell Collection, set within Pollok Country Park. The collection was donated by shipping magnate Sir William Burrell.

Wednesday

A short journey takes us to the Scottish Maritime Museum in Irvine, showcasing historic vessels and Scotland's shipbuilding heritage. The remainder of the day is free to explore Irvine at leisure.

Thursday

We visit Ayr and the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, celebrating the life and legacy of Scotland's national poet. This afternoon we continue to Dumfries House, a beautifully preserved stately home set within 2,000 acres, saved for the nation in 2007 by a charitable consortium led by King Charles III.

Friday

Homeward bound.
