Uncover Scotland’s secret islands and waterways on this scenic five-day escorted coach holiday based at The Winnock Hotel in Drymen. Enjoy memorable cruises beneath the magnificent Forth Bridges and across Loch Lomond, with time ashore on peaceful Inchcolm Island. We also journey by ferry to the Isle of Arran for a guided island tour and included admission to Brodick Castle, Garden and Country Park. With striking coastal views, historic landmarks, tranquil lochs and comfortable half-board accommodation, this is a wonderfully varied Scottish escape.

Day One: Arrival

We depart from our local joining points and travel north by coach, making suitable comfort stops along the way. Later, we continue into Scotland and arrive at The Winnock Hotel in the conservation village of Drymen, where we settle in for a four-night stay with dinner this evening.

Day Two

Today we travel to South Queensferry for a memorable sightseeing cruise aboard Maid of the Forth. Sailing on the Firth of Forth, we pass beneath the famous Forth Bridge, Forth Road Bridge and Queensferry Crossing, enjoying superb views from the water. Our cruise also includes a stop at Inchcolm Island.

Day Three

After breakfast, we make our way to the ferry for the crossing to the Isle of Arran, often described as Scotland in miniature. On arrival, an included tour introduces us to the island's beautiful coastline, mountain scenery and welcoming communities. We also include admission to Brodick Castle, Garden and Country Park, where you can discover the castle's impressive interiors and enjoy time in the gardens and grounds before returning by ferry and coach.

Day Four

This morning we visit Loch Lomond Shores at Balloch, set beside the southern end of the loch with time to browse, relax and enjoy the surroundings. Later, we board Sweeney's 1 hour scenic cruise, exploring the secret islands and narrows of Loch Lomond while taking in views of the surrounding hills, shoreline and open water. We return to Drymen for our final evening at the hotel.

Day Five

After breakfast, we say farewell to The Winnock Hotel and begin our journey home. Travelling south by coach, with suitable comfort stops en route, we return home after a scenic Scottish break filled with islands, waterways, castles and cruises.

Situated on the pretty village green in the conservation village of Drymen, located in the heart of the beautiful Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Sensitively extended and refurbished, whilst retaining all its traditional charm, the hotel offers friendly hospitality and comfortable accommodation. Restaurant, Bar & Conservatory Lounge. Mobility Grade: 3 – The resort & hotel are on the level. Hotel has no lift, but rooms are on ground & first floor only.
