Wednesday

We head for Dover and the ferry crossing to Calais. We continue to Paris arriving in time for dinner and our overnight stay. (Our hotel will be of a minimum 3-star standard and will be confirmed with your final confirmation).

Thursday

We spend the morning in Paris, where we can enjoy its many iconic landmarks including the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. Wander through the quaint streets of the Latin Quarter or along the banks of the Seine spanned with ornate bridges. In the afternoon we board our River Cruise Vessel the luxurious, premium MS Viva Gloria from 3.00pm with a 5.00pm departure.

Friday

Arrive Les Andelys, located on the Seine in Upper Normandy around 08.00hrs. In the Middle Ages, Les Andely’s strategic location on the river bend caught the attention of both the French monarchy and the Duke of Normandy, King Richard the Lionheart. Our excursion includes a city walk with Chateau Gaillard. We continue sailing to Rouen, arriving around 7.00pm.

Saturday

The Medieval city of Rouen is the capital of Normandy. Perched on the banks of the River Seine, it’s a town rich with culture and history. Our excursion ncludes a ‘Back to The Middle Ages’ city walk with chocolate and cheese tasting. Our scheduled departure from Rouen is 2.00pm.

Sunday/Monday

Arrive Le Havre 00.30hrs (Sun) Depart 8.00pm (Mon) With more than 170,000 inhabitants, Le Havre is the busiest city in Normandy. The metropolis is located directly on the English Channel in the northwest of France. Scheduled excursions include ‘Le Havre & Etretat’ and the Artistic Centre of Honfleur.

Tuesday

Arrive Vernon around 1.00pm, where an excursion to Monet’s House & Garden is included. Our scheduled departure from Vernon is 8.00pm.

Wednesday 2

Arrive Paris 07.00hrs. Paris is famous all over the world as the city of love and romance. There’s nothing quite like a stroll up the Champs Elysee or a boat trip along the River Seine where you can admire the countless world-famous sights from the unique vantage point of the water. Discover beautiful works of art in the Louvre Museum or explore famous heritage sites like the Sacre Coeur and Notre Dame Cathedral. Of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without a visit to the Eiffel Tower.

Thursday 2

Disembarking after breakfast we rejoin our Johnsons Coach for the return homeward. Please note the included shore excursions are correct at the time of writing. Should there be any changes, we will inform you accordingly.

MS VIVA GLORIA

The MS VIVA GLORIA offers space for 152 guests in 76 stylishly furnished cabins. All cabins on the Ruby and Diamond Decks have French balconies from which you can enjoy the beautiful scenery from your bed. On the Diamond Deck, most of the cabins are 14 m2 twin cabins, as well as four 17 m2 suites. The Ruby Deck is also mostly equipped with 14 m2 twin cabins, as well as two 17 m2 suites. On the Emerald Deck there are only 14 m2 twin cabins, all of which have windows that cannot be opened. All cabins are perfectly equipped with flat-screen TV, included minibar, beauty products from RITUALSR, hairdryer, safe, air conditioning, shower and toilet. A lift connects the lobby with the restaurant, the Ruby Deck and the Diamond Deck. There are 6 steps leading down to the Emerald Deck.
