Day One: Arrival

We travel south, arriving at Kingsbridge during the afternoon, and the short onward transfer to our hotel. Relax, settle in and enjoy a drinks reception before our first delicious evening meal.

Day two

Today our excursion takes us to Saltram (NT) - a magnificent Georgian mansion with tranquil parkland and gardens. One of the Trust's hidden treasures, Saltram gives a fascinating insight into life on a rich and sophisticated country estate.

Day Three

We transfer to Kingsbridge before continuing to the seafaring port of Dartmouth, with its imposing Royal Naval College. Here, we include a scenic Dart River Cruise, so sit back, relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery. We return via Start Bay passing the shingle beaches of Slapton Sands to Torcross, where we can discover the Sherman Tank Memorial - a memorial to the 749 American Servicemen who lost their lives during the D-Day Landing rehearsals.

Day Four

Today's excursion takes us to the elegant seaside town of Sidmouth, set on Devon's stunning Jurassic Coast. Enjoy time to stroll along the Esplanade, explore the town's independent shops and cafés, or relax by the shingle beach, framed by striking red cliffs. With its refined character and beautiful coastal setting, Sidmouth offers a wonderfully relaxing day out before we return to our hotel later this afternoon.

Day Five

After breakfast we depart our hotel, returning home in the afternoon.
