Monday
Depart for North Hampshire, arriving late afternoon at the Elvetham Hotel for our 4-night stay.
Tuesday
Today we travel through the rolling Surrey countryside to the county town of Guildford with its magnificent cathedral and cobbled high street.
There is time to explore the individual shops and obtain lunch, before making our way in the afternoon to the Denbies Wine Estate where we enjoy a 50-minute Vineyard tour by train. Commentary is provided on board, accompanied by a glass of Denbies Sparkling Wine.
Wednesday
Wednesday This morning we travel into the South Downs and the market town of Petersfield. Today is market day so you can enjoy free time exploring the market and the town itself. There are a variety of local shops, as well as a museum, Psychic Garden and Art Gallery. This afternoon we visit the historic city of Winchester. You have the chance to visit the city's cathedral, browse the high street or perhaps visit one of the city's museums.
Thursday
This morning we have a short drive taking in some of the beautiful Berkshire countryside as we head for Henley-on-Thames, famous for its annual regatta. We have a short time to explore the town before we board our boat for a
1-hour river cruise along the Thames. Afterward, we head to Royal Windsor where you can enjoy lunch. Visit the famous Windsor Castle or wander around the quaint streets and explore the many independent stores.
Friday
Departing our hotel, we visit Nuffield Place (NT), the home of William Morris who as the founder of Morris Motors became an innovator in the mass production of cars. He became one of the richest men in the world, but being a philanthropist gave much of his money away to charities. We continue homeward, arriving during the afternoon.

Located in North Hampshire, the Elvetham Hotel is an historic 19th century mansion set within 35 acres of gardens. Retaining many of its period features, this charming hotel has an impressive Orangery restaurant that offers picturesque views out into the grounds. All bedrooms are ensuite with television, telephone, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. Some ground floor rooms with upper floors accessed by stairs.
