A wonderful holiday, taking in many of the expected sights the Highlands offer, together with some unexpected, but no less enjoyable, additions.

Sunday

A leisurely drive north to our overnight hotel - Holiday Inn, Dumfries.

Monday

We journey north to The Priory Hotel for our 4 night stay.

Tuesday

Today we venture north to fairytale Dunrobin Castle. Enjoy the magnificent gardens and views across the sea before heading to the lovely historic town of Dornoch with its independent shops and cafes. On your return we visit the lovely Black Isle peninsula.

Wednesday

Today we are greeted by a local coach & driver for a full day trip to the city of Inverness. Savour a cruise on the Moray Firth with its abundance of sea and wildlife, keeping an eye out for the frolicking dolphins.

Thursday

The beautiful Moray Coast awaits today, as does admission to the magnificent turreted Brodie Castle, with its glorious gardens. Depart for time at Brodie Countryfare and the lovely traditional town of Forres, Then, enjoy a scenic drive along the coast road, via the traditional fishing village of Burghead, to Lossiemouth back to our hotel.

Friday

We leave the Priory Hotel today and journey south via Loch Ness and Fort Augustus to Fort William . We continue to our final overnight stay - Holiday Inn, Dumfries.

Saturday

Homeward bound.
