A delightful Southern England break featuring historic houses, beautiful gardens and fascinating museums, from Wealden heritage to wartime stories, combined with relaxed sightseeing and gentle exploration throughout the countryside.

Monday

Arrive at our hotel in time for dinner, with tea and coffee on arrival.

Tuesday

This morning we visit the Weald & Downland Living Museum, an open air museum showcasing over 600 years of historic buildings. After lunch at the lakeside tearoom, we head to Chichester for free time to explore, including the cathedral and Novium Museum.

Wednesday

Visit Leonardslee Lakes & Gardens, enjoying scenic walks through interlaced lakes, woodland and parkland.

Thursday

We visit Nymans, a romantic manor house and garden set around historic ruins. This afternoon we explore the Wings Aviation Museum, with fascinating World War II exhibitions and memorabilia.

Friday

After breakfast, we make our way home.
