Our ‘Twixmas’ break to Sidmouth is always very popular - They allow you to take a break in the normally quiet period between Christmas and New Year so it is ideal for people who wish to spend Christmas with their family and friends but be home to see in the New Year.

Sunday

We head towards the West Country. After a suitable stop for lunch en-route, we arrive in Sidmouth in the mid-afternoon for our 3-night stay.

Monday

A leisurely start to the day before we take the short drive to Exmouth where we include a leisurely river cruise. The Exe is a feeding ground for seals so keep a watchful eye open as we sail through the calm sheltered waters of the Exe. With live commentary this cruise will give you a full insight into the history and scenic splendour of the area including the resident and visiting wildlife.

Tuesday

Today we visit Exeter - a small city that packs a big punch, Exeter is one of the most vibrant, attractive and historically interesting cities in England. Pre-dating the arrival of the Romans in AD 50, Exeter's history is rich and long. This is reflected in its fascinating visitor attractions including its unique Underground Passages, free Red Coat Guided Tours, magnificent Cathedral, imposing Roman wall and beautiful Quayside. Exeter is also home to the award-winning Royal Albert Memorial Museum where visitors can explore the city's 2,000-year history.

Wednesday

After breakfast we depart our hotel and after making a suitable stop for lunch en-route we arrive home mid-afternoon.
