Falmouth is often regarded as the ‘Jewel of Cornwall’s Riviera’ – A picturesque coastal resort with the Old Town’s quaint streets and alleyways, the fascinating Maritime Museum, Pendennis Castle on the headland and beautiful beaches.

Monday

We travel south, arriving at our hotel during the afternoon. Relax and settle in to your new surroundings before our first delicious evening meal.

Tuesday

After a full cooked breakfast, we head to Llandudno where we enjoy a return journey on the historic Great Orme Tramway. Climbing high above the town, the tram offers wonderful views across the coastline and countryside. The remainder of the day is free to enjoy Llandudno at leisure before returning to the hotel.

Wednesday

Today is a highlight of our tour as we enjoy a journey on the Snowdon Mountain Railway, travelling by traditional diesel train to Clogwyn, around three quarters of the way to the summit, surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery. Later, we enjoy a relaxing return journey on the Llanberis Lake Railway, travelling alongside the tranquil waters of Llyn Padarn on this charming narrow gauge line.

Thursday

This morning we board the world famous Ffestiniog Steam Railway, travelling from Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog through dramatic mountain scenery. This afternoon we continue to Bala Lake Railway, enjoying a scenic narrow gauge journey along the shores of Llyn Tegid, Wales' largest natural lake.

Friday

After breakfast it's homeward bound.
