Experience the best of Wales with historic abbeys, mountain railways, charming towns, whisky tasting and relaxing hotel stays, perfectly blended with scenic journeys and included excursions throughout South Wales, beautiful.

Thursday

We travel into South Wales, arriving at the Parkway Hotel & Spa, Cwmbran. Enjoy a welcome drinks reception before a three course dinner, with tea or coffee to follow. This evening is free to relax and enjoy the hotel's excellent leisure facilities.

Friday

After a full cooked breakfast, we visit the Royal Mint Experience, enjoying a guided factory tour and exhibition. A traditional cream tea is included before returning to the hotel for a relaxing evening.

Saturday

This morning we head into the beautiful Wye Valley to visit the stunning ruins of Tintern Abbey, one of Wales' most photographed landmarks. In the afternoon, enjoy free time in the historic town of Chepstow, with its charming streets, independent shops and riverside setting, before returning to the hotel.

Sunday

This morning features a scenic journey on the Brecon Mountain Railway, travelling through breathtaking countryside with a stop at Pontsticill Reservoir. Later, we visit the Penderyn Brecon Beacons Distillery for a guided tour and tasting. This evening enjoy live musical entertainment at the hotel.

Monday

Following breakfast, we depart for home, taking with us wonderful memories of scenic Wales.
