Enjoy an autumnal break to the pretty village of St. Mawes in Cornwall to savour the wonderful autumnal hues of red and yellow. Overlooking the River Fal towards Falmouth, the old fishing port boasts steep and narrow streets that rise up from the harbour, with good restaurants, attractive shops and a number of galleries.

Monday

We depart during the morning and with a suitable stop for lunch en-route we arrive at our hotel in time for dinner and our 4-night stay.

Tuesday

A full day excursion, travelling to Glendurgan Garden. This thriving sub-tropical valley garden runs down to the Helford River at the fishing village of Durgan. Later, we continue to Falmouth with its bustling cobbled streets, charming mix of shops and art galleries. Try not to miss the chance to visit the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth too.

Wednesday

A morning at leisure in St Mawes, followed by a half day excursion to the historic town of Truro. Admire the magnificent three-spired cathedral, revel in the elegant Georgian architecture, take a pleasant stroll along the pretty river or browse the shops.

Thursday

Built into the Cornish countryside, the Eden Project is often described as the Eighth Wonder of the World. With thousands of species of plants to see both indoors and out and a wealth of activities taking place every day, there is always something new to set our eyes on. The aerial walkway affords lovely views over the Rainforest Biome, the largest rainforest in captivity.

Friday

After breakfast, we sadly leave Cornwall and head for home.
