Sunday

We visit Renishaw Hall and Garden. Very much a lived-in family home, where generations of the Sitwell family have made their mark on the architecture, gardens and estate which comprise Renshaw. Enjoy a self guided tour of the Hall, perhaps enjoying afternoon tea in the café and a relaxing walk in the stunning, Italianate award-winning gardens.

Saturday

This morning we make the short journey to Bakewell where we have time to look around the town and enjoy a coffee break, perhaps with a slice of Bakewell Tart from the Original Pudding Shop. We leave around midday for Chatsworth House The House will be delightfully decorated for Christmas with elaborate Christmas decorations and ornate Christmas trees and where better to start your Christmas shopping than at the Chatsworth Christmas market? With over 100 market stalls offering a wide range of Christmas gifts and decorations, it’s a great way to get you into the spirit of the Festive Season.

Friday

We drive to the Denby Pottery Village still located on the same site where the pottery was founded, their rich heritage can be seen in the fabric of the building and the beguiling knowledge that generations of craftspeople have been making pottery here since 1809. Enjoy a ‘Discovery & Museum’ tour which includes a choice of cakes or scones and tea/coffee before continuing to Derby and our 2-night stay at the Signature Collection by Best Western Derby Mickleover Hotel.
